Well, life is quite busy at the moment as I am planning a move to Solana Beach.
I am finding myself in Encinitas a lot for work and there is often a lot of time
between jobs so it makes sense on most days to pack for the day and stay in
Encinitas which can be frustrating to not have a home to get to quickly and
conveniently when between jobs. I am so excited about the new place too.
It is a one bedroom over 900 square feet which is as large as a lot of two
bedrooms. It is also a mile from the beach and right around the corner from
Cedros Avenue. The DelMar fair grounds are right there as well.

Today I had the amazing opportunity to teach a Restorative Yoga Class.
This was a huge challenge given that I teach Power Vinyasa Yoga. I
went to my Mysore Ashtanga class prior to needing to teach. I think
this greatly helped me to be in a calm class for the Restorative Class.
The three people that were present loved my class and said it
seemed as though I have been teaching Restorative for a long time. I
am so grateful for all of the past training from Tom Gillette in RI
as he provided me with a variety of experiences at his studio
including classes that were of a restorative nature. I also relied on
Judith Lassater’s book Rest and Renewal. I actually really enjoyed
teaching this class much more than I thought I would. More and more
these days I am coming to the feeling of just loving yoga and wanting
to teach it regardless of the form. I love seeing people arrive in one
state and then gradually shift so that by the end of class they
seem calmer and happier. For some people it is like watching years
being added to their life in a good way!!

Well it is the end of a very busy and informative week. I have been out apartment hunting!! I am so looking forward to a space that will be closer to Encinitas, where I spend most of my time these days with Yoga and Reiki. I am amazed at how many options exist out here for living arrangements and I am also amazed at what people will pay and do to live at the ocean’s edge. More apartment hunting tomorrow!!! I have some key ones chosen to look at and am hoping to wrap this up soon!!

It feels good to have small things moving in the right direction such as this website and now the apartment. Both are key pieces related to my work, my soul.

Well the Easter Holiday was awesome! I had a very fulfilling day on Sunday by starting my day with a meditation group ath The Soul of Yoga followed by a yoga class. Then I headed off to a Church ceremony with live music. A friend was singing at the church event. Then later in the day I got together with the same friend and went strawberry picking. We then made strawberry shortcake to go along with our home made dinner. Not your traditional Easter but yet so fitting for my life style. I did talk with family back East as well.

April Fool’s Day!! It is a beautiful day outside- sunny at least. A bit chilly but sunny. I shared Reiki with a Reiki
friend today. An awesome way to begin my day both giving and receiving!! In my meeting today I was offered
another gift and that is to receive a Soul Reading with the person I exchanged Reiki with. I feel truly blessed as many
of these opportunities are appearing on my doorstep lately!
