Well 2020 has been quite the year!! I would never have imagined that we would have experienced a Pandemic in my lifetime. COVID19. This began in March. I was very fortunate throughout as fortunately I have had enough savings to get by. I became unemployed in June of 2020 and partially chose to remain out of the mix. COVID19 allowed me to spend much time on deeper reflection of life and my life in particular. It allowed me much time to deepen further my personal Meditation, Reiki and Yoga practices. I have gotten more connected with the daily rythm of nature and am so grateful for this. This post resulted due to a recent opening with WordPress. Previously I struggled with the functionality of posting. In addition I never received emails indicating others commented on my posts. I so wish I had this information previously as I greatly enjoy interacting with others. Perhaps now I can move forward with a more interactive post here on my website. Blessings to all that stop by my page. I do hope you too have experienced positives during COVID19 in 2020. May we get past this in 2021!
This is actually being written about five days prior to the start of June but as always with me it is best to do things while I am thinking of them. If I pass up this opportunity and inspiration to write I will likely forget.
Feeling quite excited about life. I have gradually transitioned from a traditional 9 to 5 job to employment that is far more open and allows me to provide what I truly enjoy. I continue to struggle at times as to whether this is the best way to go but when I actually tune in to how I feel it seems so right. Presently I continue to provide occasional Speech and Language sessions but this is among everything else that has opened up. I also teach English as Second Language along with Reiki and Yoga. I think my skills overall are in the areas of communication and I believe communication manifests in many forms. If you have always wanted to break away from the standard 9 to 5 type of job my words of advice are simply do it. Sure, take your time and be sure things feel secure but all in all do it. You will not be sorry you did.
Namaste,
Anita
And so the continuing saga of me and my blog. I have had such difficulty with my website and trying to access my blog consistently and post messages. Let’s hope I am finally on to the steps I need to take…
Well, anyway what is new in my Yoga and Reiki World. My practices are daily and necessary!! Without them my days would be far more stressful than they are. I awaken each morning motivated to sit in silence. Continued practice has taught me that persistence pays off. In addition to incredible calm I also feel clear when starting my day. I am forever grateful for my Yoga, Meditation and Reiki practices.
If you re a beginner practitioner keep at it. One practice, whether it is Yoga, Reiki or Meditation builds on the next.
Namaste
September 2015
Here it is September!! I can hardly believe it. Only three months left to 2015. It is a little over a year since I returned from India and settled into a rented room in Encinitas. I am in the midst of a training program at The Soul of Yoga. I am amazed at how much there is to learn with yoga. I am excited to be able to share it with others as well.
I have been teaching a Yinki® class with a new yoga community at Lokavindu Yoga in Old Town. It is a sweet studio space with wonderful teachers. I am greatly enjoying sharing this class with others. If you have never tried Yinki® and happen to be reading this blog come join us on Monday afternoons or you can message me and ask any questions you have.
Bye for now…Be Well and Namaste…
August of 2015
Well it has been quite some time since I have been able to access my website and blog!! I am excited to be able to do this again. Since I last blogged I ended up moving to Mexico and lived there for 18 months. Following Mexico I lived in India for four months.
During both of these stays I had the amazing opportunity to teach English as a Second Language (ESL). I also learned some Spanish and Mexico and opened a business in Mexico as well to privately teach ESL. However, after my journey to Mexico and then India I decided to close the business in Mexico and return to live in San Diego. This was a difficult decision but one that was necessary for me.
While in Mexico and India I kept up my teaching and practices of Yoga and Reiki. It is both of these practices, along with daily meditation that kept me grounded and confident in my journey and next steps. It is a little over a year ago that I returned to San Diego. I am continuing to teach Yoga and Reiki and build my business. I am also teaching ESL and have done some work in Speech and Language Pathology as well.
I look forward to continuing my blogs now that I have direct access again to my website. My advice to you after this amazing journey is to breathe deep and long through all of the ups and downs. Namaste
